As an Ottawa, Ontario motherhood, newborn & family photographer, I have met many mothers who opted to forego a maternity, newborn or family session at some point in time due to the discomfort and/or stress of wardrobe. This is one of the reasons I was inspired to curate a full-service experience as mothers and families deserve beautiful imagery of their legacy without the worry, especially in terms of “but what will I wear?”
What is the BLP client wardrobe? It is a curated collection of dresses, swaddles, headbands for baby and a select few pieces for fathers and the little loves of your life, that is complementary upon booking. One of my main priorities is to empower my families to look and feel their best in front of my lens, and a carefully curated client wardrobe plays an important role.
You may be wondering what a carefully curated client wardrobe entails & I would love to share. As an Ottawa newborn and family photographer, I have dedicated many hours towards researching, and in turn, shopping for the most perfect pieces.
First, my priority is always beautiful, feminine and timeless pieces that are flattering on my mothers and the season they are in. Inclusivity and versatility is paramount and the materials are always top quality.
Second, colours and patterns are important. Neutrals and light tones are my ideal colour pallets with subtle & small patterns to create texture, all while ensuring a cohesive, yet achievable look for the rest of the family.
Third, I forego trends. Yes, they are great; however, my priority is for your legacy to without the rest of time, and the truth is, trends come and go.
